2012 Election Dates

Absentee Voting Information
As a registered voter, you may obtain an absentee voter ballot if you are:
- 60 years of age or older 
- Expecting to be absent from the community on election day
- Physically unable to vote without assistance at the polls
- Unable to attend the polls due to religious reasons
- Appointed to work as an election inspector in a precinct outside of your precinct of residence
- Confined to jail awaiting arraignment or trial
An Absentee Voter Ballot may be requested from the Township Clerk at the Georgetown Township Offices

Election Information

New precincts and polling locations will be in effect beginning with the next election in 2012. Prior to the next election, letters with new Voter ID cards will be mailed to each registered voter in Georgetown Township to provide the voter's new precinct number and polling location.

A new precinct map with redrawn boundary lines creating 16 voter precincts, reduced from the previous number of 20 in order for elections to be run more efficiently, was adopted by the Georgetown Township Election Commission at the August 22, 2011 meeting , to be effective for all future elections.
