ELECTION COMMITTEE MINUTES

1. Call meeting to order.

Time: 8:05 AM

Present: Dr. Mohr, Rev. R. Vander Klok, Del South, Chair

2. Approve or disapprove minutes on June 28, 2007 Election Committee meeting.

A. Motion: Dr. Mohr motion to approve the June 28, 2007 minutes

B. Second: Rev. Vander Klok Vote: 3/0 to approve

3. Clerk needs authorization to appoint chairs, co-chairs, precinct workers,

office workers, Receiving board and absentee counting board for the January 15,

2008 Presidential Pref. Primary, as presented.

A. Motion: Dr. Mohr

B. Second: Rev. Vander Klok Vote: 3/0 to approve

4. Pay rate? Keep same as last election?

A. Motion: Dr. Mohr to keep the pay the same.

B. Second: Rev. Vander Klok Vote: 3/0 to approve

Note: The pay was to be established as follows:

$ 25.00 per whole session for the “Hands-On” Training School (no mileage reimbursement);

$160.00 for election inspectors for Election Day;

$180.00 for co-chairman for Election Day;

$200.00 for chairman for Election Day;

$ 80.00 for each Receiving Board member (other than Township employee)

5. Additional items to address?

Discussed the Jan. 15, 2008 Presidential Primary and if any problems with

the process that needed to be address. There were none.
