Dear Georgetown Township Board:

The following activities were successfully completed at the Georgetown Township Senior Center during the month of July 2006:

Education and Health:

· Blood Pressure Screen with Judy Boven, R.N. from Oak Crest Manors - 37 participants

· Trim Class for weight management – 105 participants

· Exercise Class with Fitness Instructor Cathy Walker – 62 participants

· Computer Class – 12 participants

· Hearing Screening – 4 participants

· Life Line presentation – 25 participants

Nutritional Services:

· Total meals provided for Georgetown Township Seniors – 352 at center, 281 home delivered

· Commodities – 49 recipients

· Transportation to Meijer for grocery shopping – 40 participants

Trips:

· Lunch Bunch to Beechwood Inn – 19 participants

· East Grand Rapids concert – 13 participants

· Bach Lunch – 13 participants

· Moby Dick – 27

· Library Tour – 10

· Fulton Street Market – 9 participants

· Ladies Day – 8 participants

· Hudsonville Vet’s Park – 11 participants

· Whitecap’s Game – 17 Participants

Spiritual Services:

· Bible Study: Lessons on the book of Joshua, led by different local Pastors each week – 147 participants

Special Events:

· Monthly Potluck - 40 participants

· Breakfast Bingo –30 participants

· Keyboard World – 25 Participants

Social and Recreational:

· Watercolor Class - 35 participants

· Walk Club – 7 participants

· Cards - 34 participants

· Pool Players –55 participants

· Ping Pong –8 participants

· BUNCO Players – 28 participants

Georgetown Township Transportation – Ottawa County Specialized Services:

· Total rides provided in July– 1,327

Total units of service provided by the Georgetown Senior Center program: 2,550
