Motion by South, seconded by VanderKlok, to approve minutes
of August 21st. Carried. Note:
story in the press was not what the committee recommended. Committee
recommended not designated the Timmer Farm as an off
leash dog park.

Moved by VanderKlok second by South to approve the
purchase of additional furniture at the Library in the amount of
$5,625.00. Amount is in the 2006 budget.
Carried. See Attachment.

Discussion about sidewalk ordinance. Photos were reviewed that showed where the
sidewalks are not lining up to meet sidewalks already in place. Discussion about markers, where to be
placed, round or square, who would be responsible to
see that marker would be placed for the lot line or the sidewalk. Committee reviewed the ordinance Sec
10.213.

7:55 AM Mannette joined with committee for input on the
subject of sidewalks.
7:55 AM Randy Feenstra also joined the meeting.
Concern was who will be responsible to place markers, and confusion as to what markers were for lot line or sidewalks.
8:20AM Todd Stuive joined the meeting.
Issues were that about 25% of the sidewalks are placed incorrectly and not conforming to grade. There needs to be standards where and how sidewalks meet and connections.
Moved by
VanderKlok, seconded by South, that any site plan submitted to the Township
shall show sidewalk location if sidewalks are required. No person shall construct a sidewalk without
first having obtained a Sidewalk Permit from the Township. An as-built survey
shall be filed with the Township certifying that the sidewalks were constructed
according to the Township specifications.
This motion to be submitted to the board as the First
Reading. Carried.
