·         The group agreed to provide staffing for the quarterly Used Book Sales during 2007, with dates set as follows:

o        January 25 – 27

o        April 26 – 28

o        July 26 – 28

o        October 25 – 27

·         Motions were made and passed to fund the following:

o        A subscription to BookPage for another year at a cost of $360 for 100 copies per month. This periodical features information about forthcoming books and is distributed in the Library to patrons.

o        Sponsorship of half the cost (not to exceed $300) of the Library’s 2006 – 2007 fall/winter reading program for adults (The 32° Club). (This is a joint program with the Gary Byker Memorial Library of Hudsonville.)

o        General Programming for the period extending September 01 through December 31, 2006 in the amount of $1,425.

o        The 2007 Family Reading Program in the amount of $1,000.

o        The 2007 Adult Summer Reading Program in the amount of $450.

·         Friends’ Treasurer Pat Light requested that the group consider closing the checking account and transferring all funds to the Township “Friends Donation” account to eliminate the need to keep “two sets of books.” A motion was made to reflect her request and was subsequently passed. The transfer of the balance from the checking account ($3,108.10) was made into the Township “Friends Donation” account on September 15, 2006. Pat Light subsequently reported to me that she had closed the group’s checking account.
