DPW DEPARTMENT

 

 

 

 

 

 

  1. Construction on the 12th Avenue sewer is complete and the first course of asphalt is down.  Raising of castings, clean up and final course have yet to be done.

 

  1. Ridgewood Drive, Chipwood Street and Chickadee Drive sewer project are to begin this week.

 

  1. Broadview Drive and Ronson Avenue sewer project is to being this week.

 

  1. Bluebird Drive may have a two week delay.

 

  1. Baldwin Street East Project from Cottonwood Drive to Main Street is scheduled to be open September 7th.  The watermain east of Main Street should be complete the week of September 7th.

 

  1. Baldwin Street West Project is being delayed due to gas mains and phone cables that were not moved in time, delaying movement of storm catch basins.  The contractor to do the road was ready, but unable to proceed.

 

  1. Several new plats/projects in the township were started this month.

 

o       Meadowvale                                              residential – 21 lots

o       48th Avenue sewer                                      sewer only

o       Lowings Woods #5                                    residential – 32 lots

o       Georgetown Shores #6                               residential – 48 lots

o       Georgetown Center Retail & Condo           5 retail & 16 condo’s

o       Allen Springs                                              41 single family condo’s

                                                                        1 – 30 unit senior building

 

·        10 new service connections

·        13 new water meter installations

·        68 final readings of water meters for home sales

·        22 water service repairs

·        55 new homes under construction
