Dear Georgetown Township Board:

The following activities were successfully completed at the Georgetown Township Senior Center during the month of August, 2007:

Education and Health:

· Blood Pressure Screen with Judy Boven, R.N. from Oak Crest Manors - 32 participants

· Trim Class for weight management -81 participants

· Exercise Class with Fitness Instructor Cathy Walker -98 participants

· Yoga & Pilates – 38 participants

· Matter of Balance- 32 participants

Nutritional Services:

· Home Delivered Meals to Seniors - 299 meals delivered

· Senior Center Meals - 378 meals served

· Commodities (Federal program) - 41 recipients

· Transportation to Meijer, grocery shopping –46 participants

· Transportation to Family Fare -3 participants

Trips:

· Pot Luck– 30 participants

· Circle Theatre, “Boys Next Door” – 37 participants

· Sheldon Meadows – 20 participants

· Hudsonville’s Summer Concert –10 participants

· Genettis Hole in the Wall– 18 participants

· Bach Lunch – 8 participants

· Holland Shopping – 4 participants

· Holland Market – 6 participants

· Lunch Bunch to Boat Werks – 26 participants

· Mocha Music – 17 participants

· Zeeland Hospital – 10 participants

· Critter Barn – 4 participants

· Ladies Day -37 participants

Spiritual Services:

· Bible Study, lessons in the Book of James with a different local Pastor each week –

215- participants

Social and Recreational:

· Watercolor Class – 25 participants

· Cards - 36 participants

· Breakfast Bingo -23 participants

· Pool Players –70 participants

· Table Tennis Players –10 participants

· Computer Use – 4 participants

· Bunco–30 participants

· Master Arts Theatre at the Center – 28 participants

I participated in the following meetings during the month of August:

· Meeting with Sheldon Meadows, and Somerset in regards to fund raising.

· Berger Chevrolet to order a mini van. Should arrive in December sometime.

Georgetown Township Transportation - Specialized Services:

· Total rides provided in August: 1,478

Total units of service provided by the Georgetown Senior Center and Transportation program: 3,190
