The following activities were successfully completed at the Georgetown Township Senior Center during the month of October, 2007:

Education and Health:

· Blood Pressure Screen with Judy Boven, R.N. from Oak Crest Manors - 37 participants

· Trim Class for weight management – 114 participants

· Exercise Class with Fitness Instructor Cathy Walker – 134 participants

· Flu Shots provided by Sunset Home Services –65 participants

· Yoga/Pilates – 33 participants

· Covenant Village tour – 30 participants

· Hudsonville Health Fair – 11 participants

· Zeeland Hospital - 9 participants

· Computer Classes – 22 participants

Nutritional Services:

· Home Delivered Meals to Seniors - 171 meals delivered

· Senior Center Meals - 313 meals served

· Commodities (Federal program) - 41 recipients

· Transportation to Meijer for grocery shopping – 44 participants

· Cooking Demonstration by Spectrum Health – 30 participants

Trips:

· Lunch Bunch to Timbers –34 participants

· Rotary’s Travelogue –14 participants

· Jam Night –15 participants

· DK Orchards – 6 participants

· Fricanos – 27 participants

· Bach Lunch - 12 participants

· Music @ Midday – 12 participants

· “Carmen” – 20 participants

· Vienna Boys Choir – 17 participants

Spiritual Services:

· Bible Study, with a different local Pastor each week – 179 participants

Special Events:

· Monthly Potluck - 29 participants

· Halloween Party – 57 participants

Social and Recreational:

· Watercolor Class - 77 participants

· Quilting – 19 participants

· Cards - 44 participants

· Breakfast Bingo –32 participants

· Pool Players – 67 participants

· Table Tennis Players – 6 participants

· BUNCO Players –28 participants

· Therapeutic Recreation Group – 91 participants

Total units of service provided by the Georgetown Senior Center and Transportation program: 3,558
