Following
is a brief report on the progress of the construction jobs going on in the
Township. If more detailed information is desired concerning any of these
items, please do not hesitate to contact me.
Chickadee, Chipwood, and Ridgewood:
The job has
been restored with topsoil and seed, mailboxes replaced, and sprinkler systems
repaired. There are potentially some driveway drainage issues to work
out. We are waiting for some rain to review.
Broadview
and Ronson:
The job has
been restored with topsoil and seed, mailboxes replaced, and sprinkler systems
repaired. There are potentially some driveway drainage issues to work
out. There are also 3 places where water is ponding
in the roadway flow line that need to be addressed. We are waiting for
some rain to review.
Bluebird:
The top
course asphalt was paved Wednesday November 7th. They are
currently working on replacing driveways and restoration.
44th
St Path – 8th Ave to Kenowa:
Triangle
has some fence work to finish up, ADA ramps to paint, and guard rail to
repair. They plan to have this work all done by next week Monday November
12th. The final cost of the project is likely to be
$292,948.72. (This is $33,376.28 less than the original contract amount.)
44th
/ Port Sheldon Path – Chicago Drive to 8th Ave:
The top
course of the asphalt was placed Wednesday and the concrete has been placed up
to Chicago Drive. We are waiting to hear back from CSX after they get the
Preliminary Engineering Agreement. We are still waiting for MDOT to grant
us a permit for the sidewalk and signal work in their right-of-way.
12th
Avenue:
This
project is complete. The cost will be $136,455.45 which is $3,150.55 under
the contract amount, and we also got $35,822.10 reimbursement from the county
road commission for the road replacement portion so the total cost is
$100,633.35.
