Following is a brief report on the progress of the construction jobs going on in the Township.  If more detailed information is desired concerning any of these items, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Chickadee, Chipwood, and Ridgewood:

The job has been restored with topsoil and seed, mailboxes replaced, and sprinkler systems repaired.  There are potentially some driveway drainage issues to work out.  We are waiting for some rain to review.

Broadview and Ronson:

The job has been restored with topsoil and seed, mailboxes replaced, and sprinkler systems repaired.  There are potentially some driveway drainage issues to work out.  There are also 3 places where water is ponding in the roadway flow line that need to be addressed.  We are waiting for some rain to review.

Bluebird:

The top course asphalt was paved Wednesday November 7th.  They are currently working on replacing driveways and restoration.

44th St Path – 8th Ave to Kenowa:

Triangle has some fence work to finish up, ADA ramps to paint, and guard rail to repair.  They plan to have this work all done by next week Monday November 12th.  The final cost of the project is likely to be $292,948.72.  (This is $33,376.28 less than the original contract amount.)

44th / Port Sheldon Path – Chicago Drive to 8th Ave:

The top course of the asphalt was placed Wednesday and the concrete has been placed up to Chicago Drive.  We are waiting to hear back from CSX after they get the Preliminary Engineering Agreement.  We are still waiting for MDOT to grant us a permit for the sidewalk and signal work in their right-of-way.

12th Avenue:

This project is complete. The cost will be $136,455.45 which is $3,150.55 under the contract amount, and we also got $35,822.10 reimbursement from the county road commission for the road replacement portion so the total cost is $100,633.35.
