MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE GEORGETOWN CHARTER TOWNSHIP BOARD HELD JANUARY 28, 2008, 7:30 p.m.

 

The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by Chairperson Bill Holland.

Gene Altena, 1291 Caprice, made comments regarding the ice area budget.

 

#080128-02 - Approval of agenda as presented for January 28, 2008

 

Moved by Richard VanderKlok, seconded by Marvin VanSomeren, to approve the agenda as presented.

Moved by Del South, seconded by Richard VanderKlok, to approve the consent agenda as presented.

a.         Approval of minutes of the regular board meeting held on January 14, 2008

b.         Approval of the regular monthly bills

#080128-05 – Camera in Sewer Main

 

Moved by Del South, seconded by Daniel Carlton, to approve the authorization to jet a camera through 3,250 feet of sewer main for an estimated cost of $1.00 per foot

 

Note:               The Water Sewer Committee recommended approval

Moved by Daniel Carlton, seconded by Marvin VanSomeren, to amend the agenda to add an item to authorize the sale of a vehicle.

No one was present to make public comments.

 

#080128-08 - Board Open Discussion

 

Del South commented on the letter regarding the fire at the house on Bend Dr. and thanked the Fire Department.

 

#080128-09 – Sale of Township Vehicle

 

Moved by Daniel Carlton, seconded by Marvin VanSomeren, to authorize the sale of a 1999 Ford pick-up.

 

MOTION CARRIED.
