At a regular meeting of the Township Board for the Charter Township of Georgetown held at the Township offices on ____________, 2026 at _____ p.m., this Resolution was offered for adoption by Township Board Member _______________ and was seconded by Township Board Member _______________:
A RESOLUTION TO UPDATE THE CHARGES FOR CONNECTION TO THE TOWNSHIP’S PUBLIC SEWER SYSTEM.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the Code of Ordinances for Georgetown Charter Township (the “Township”) permits the Township Board, by resolution, to set the rates and charges for property owners within the Township, and within Blendon Township and the City of Granville, to connect to the Township’s public sewer system;
WHEREAS, the Township Board must occasionally review and update the charges assessed to property owners for making such connections, to reflect the increases in the cost of parts, equipment, and labor to complete such connections;
WHEREAS, the Township Board now wishes to update the charges assessed for connections to the Township’s public sewer system.
RESOLUTION
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
- The Recitals above are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as if restated verbatim.
- The Township Board hereby adopts the new schedule for sewer connection charges, as set forth in the attached “Exhibit A.” Properties located within Georgetown Township are subject to the charges specific to Georgetown Township. Properties located within the City of Grandville or Blendon Township are subject to the respective charges for those municipalities, as set forth in Exhibit A hereto.
- The charges set forth in “Table 1” to Exhibit A shall be effective upon the effective date of this Resolution. The charges set forth in “Table 2” to Exhibit A shall be effective beginning on July 1, 2026.
- This Resolution is effective immediately, and it shall supersede any prior inconsistent resolutions of the Township Board.
