Approval of the installation of sanitary sewer using the existing stub, based on the construction plan, for Blendon Meadows, as recommended by the Utilities Committee.

Approval of the proposal from Prein and Newhof to perform the Water Reliability Study at a cost not to exceed $21,500, as recommended by the Utilities Committee. Note: Every five years the Township must submit a Water Reliability Study to the State (EGLE). The last study was completed in 2017.

SCADA and Lift Station Upgrades Quote
Motion: To approve the quote from Kennedy Industries to perform the lift station upgrades as detailed in the quote utilizing the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds that the Township has received, as recommended by the Utilities Committee
Note. The water and sewer dept. would like to submit the above quote for upgrades to all sewer lift stations using the Federal tax money. These upgrades would cleanup all the controls and wiring in the control cabinets of the sewer lift stations. They would like to bring over these lift stations to the KISM SCADA system which is the same system as our water system uses. Attached is the quote in doing this work along with a comparison between KISM and Mission.

Maplewood Park Farmland Leases
Motion: To approve the renewal of the Maplewood Park farmland leases, as recommended by the Finance Committee.
Note: Victory Farms is interested in renewing the two leases for the Maplewood Park farmland that they had utilized in 2021. The ten tillable acre parcel leased for $125 per acre, and the 14.5 tillable acre parcel leased for $200 per acre. They are also interested in parking up the three tillable acre parcel on the northwest portion of the property for $150 per acre.
