The Georgetown Township Board of Trustees recently authorized the upgrade and remodel of the Veteran’s Memorial located in the Georgetown Township Cemetery on 28th Avenue. This project will serve as a memorial for those that have given the ultimate sacrifice in service to their Country. The memorial will feature an amphitheater style setup in a beautiful park-like setting. Not only will this be a great location for the annual Memorial Day Service, it will also provide a place for residents to take advantage of the quiet surroundings for contemplation and reflection. Bricks will be placed in the center stage area for any Georgetown Township resident who lost their life in battle while serving their Country.
