Pick up a copy at the library and read before the meeting. We will watch the movie together and discuss. Persuasion This is Jane Austen’s final novel that she completed before she passed away, and it follows an “old maid” as the protagonist. When Anne, at the young age of 19, falls in love with a simple but lowly naval officer, Lady Russell, her mentor, persuades her to break the engagement off, assuming that she can still find a better match. But, eight years pass and the now 27-year-old Anne is still very much single and pining after her Wentworth. The man she once rejected reenters her life as a rich and attractive captain. But he’s none too excited to see Anne again.

Kids ages 6-12, join us as we learn about a new country each month! Using a subscription box called Little Global Citizens, we will learn about a different country each month. We'll read a book and then have stations with some fun games, activities, and crafts based on the culture of the country. You can travel the world without ever leaving Michigan! Registration required. New Policy: If you register for a children's program and don't attend (without canceling your registration by the start of the program) twice in a row, you will not be able to register for children's programs for one month. You may stop by at the start of a program to see if there's room and you may still attend drop-in programs.
